Lykens Valley Campmeeting sponsored it's first Family Fun Day on July 4, 2009. There was all kinds of fun activities, food & music.
An Open Mike was held from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
Mountain Praise performed at 3:00 PM.
A Celtic ensemble called Seasons performed at 4:00 PM.
The climax of the day was a concert featuring the Christian group known as "Reilly". Reilly, a five member band combines vocals with guitars, keyboard & violins. They have been together for about seven years coming from the Philadelphia music scene. According to their website, "they fused intricate violin and flute arrangements with folk to create their signature ‘symphonic rock’ sound. Their rare combination of musical genres, spiritual lyrics, and catchy melodies attracted a wide range of listeners and transcended the normal categories generally associated with Christian rock. Lyrically, Reilly has always striven to write songs that are both artistic and spiritually rich. Many of their songs are written from a personal perspective representing both the joys and struggles of faith in God.” Reilly will appear at Creation, & the Purple Door this season.
