Gift Cottage
Auxiliary projects help fund some Campmeeting Programs.
The Gift Cottage (#8) is located along the road through the circle on the east side of the camp. It is open several times a day (Mon. - Sat.) You'll find home made crafts, new items and "white elephants". Bargains are found in "Granny's Attic"
Stop by & browse. You're sure to find something you can't live without,just the right gift or card for a friend or relative.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Lykens Valley Campmeeting Association works very hard to raise money to support the Children and Youth ministries of the camp as well as many other campmeeting needs and improvements. The auxiliary runs the Gift Cottage, Ice cream stand and organizes the cleaning efforts before camp.
The Ladies Camp Auxiliary, began in 1931 when it raised $500 for the building of a 2-story porch at the west end of the boarding house. The gift cottage is located in Cottage No. 8, (donated by the Lentz family in 1966). The Ice cream stand is housed in the east end of the Boarding House.
Jewelry, books, toys, dishes, hand crafted items -- you'll find them all at the Auxiliary Gift Shop. Folks of all ages find treasures for themselves and for others. Come check it out!
